PJSC «COMINVESTBANK» has joined the All-Ukrainian Financial Literacy Week and World Savings Day.


At the initiative of the National Bank of Ukraine, as part of a successful European tradition, such as the celebration of All-Ukrainian Financial Literacy Week and World Savings Day, marked on October 31, the PJSC «COMINVESTBANK» held the seminar for students and meetings with schoolchildren where young people received detailed information and advice on savings and skills to manage personal finances and more: where the money has come from, how to make a personal budget properly and what are the savings.

One of the main objectives of the Financial Literacy Week and the World Savings Day in Ukraine is to increase the public financial literacy, especially inside the environment of the new generation, children and youth.

This is very category will have soon become a most important consumer of the financial services as well as form the economic "face" of the country. In addition, the young people can act as an adviser on financial issues for other generations, both senior and junior.

The history of the World Savings Day has been launched in Milan during the First International Savings Bank Congress in October 31, 1924 by the representatives of savings banks from 29 countries gathered there. The Italian Professor Filippo Ravizza declared this day the "International Saving Day" on the last day of the congress and recommended to mark this day annually in memory of the 1st International Savings Bank Congress.

In 1989, the United Nations officially declared October 31 as World Savings Day in accordance to the their proper directive.
